Louisiana State University College of Human Sciences and Education Website

Dear LSU School of Social Work Alumni, Donors, and Friends:

In the College of Human Sciences and Education, we strive to develop effective educators, physically and emotionally healthy citizens, a well-trained human resource workforce, and thriving communities.   Our faculty and students are dedicating their time to expanding human potential and improving people’s lives.  Through teaching, research, and service the college plays a significant leadership role in addressing the socially significant problems we face across the state and nation.

The successes and breakthroughs achieved in the College of Human Sciences and Education would not exist without the investment of our alumni, friends, and partners. Your support and encouragement is a catalyst to creating advancements on the journey of discovery and innovation. Your past and continued presence at Louisiana State University is the reason why there continues to be a bright future for students.

We hope that you will stay informed of the happenings and accomplishments in the college by updating your information, reading our e-newsletter, or connecting with us through Facebook.  Become a part of the alumni community — the College of Human Sciences and Education is planning several networking opportunities this coming year to help our alumni stay connected.  We hope to see you at one of the events.

Your involvement in the college alumni community has led to many positive changes – your continued involvement is necessary to help keep us on this track. There are so many ways you can stay involved with the college – from providing internships to investing in our students and faculty.

Our goal is to provide more scholarships, endow faculty professorships, improve and expand distance education and other outreach and research projects, and to embark on new service projects. This presents a wonderful opportunity for all of us to be a part of a permanent change in the program.

Please take the time to look over the many ways to invest in your college on this website. If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to call me at (225) 578-6384 or e-mail me at miller@lsu.edu.

Sincerely,

Wayne Miller
