School of Social Work

Student Support

The LSU School of Social Work is a professional school only offering graduate degrees, including the only social work Ph.D. program in the state. We alone are charged with the task of educating future Louisiana researchers to help us better understand the human and social problems in our state, and provide the knowledge and best practice to treat and prevent these issues. To recruit the top students, we must offer more competitieve financial packages, including scholarships, assistantships, and fellowships.

Scholarships and fellowships for students are a top priority for the School and for LSU. Funding for graduate students attracts the best cholars from around the nation and the world. Fellowships ands scholarships may be funded through an annual gift or through the establishment of an endowment.
