Our innovative curriculum, nationally known and respected faculty, and high admission standards have made the School of Social Work one of the strongest graduate programs on the LSU campus. We want the success story to continue and invite you to invest in the School today.
Contributions from our supporters provide funds for faculty recruitment and retention, student fellowships and scholarships and new academic initiatives. It is only through private investment in the School that we will be able to maintain the tradition of excellence, and adequately prepare for the challenges of the future.
The School offers many opportunities for alumni and friends, individuals or private organizations to invest in the students, faculty and research efforts. Annual Giving
Each year, contributions to the School of Social Work Excellence Fund provide critical support for new programs, fund activities, and provide flexibility for meeting student and faculty needs in today’s dynamic university. Gifts to the annual fund make the difference between a great school and an excellent school.
Forever LSU
LSU needs your support to ensure our continued success in the pursuit of excellence and academic distinction among universities worldwide. This quest will ensure more students, faculty and staff, and members of our greater community are afforded the LSU experience—an experience rich in promise, opportunities, service, and tradition. When completed, Forever LSU: The Campaign for Louisiana State University will advance the National Flagship Agenda and position LSU—including the
LSU AgCenter and the LSU Law Center—to compete on all levels with the nation’s best public universities.
A successful fundraising campaign will increase the value of all LSU degrees by committing itself to the following objectives:
- Produce enlightened and engaged citizen leaders by fostering critical thinking, ethical reflection, technological prowess, historical understanding, and artistic/cultural appreciation;
- Advance knowledge and intellectual inquiry by promoting groundbreaking research;
- Enhance Louisiana’s economic development by converting scientific and technological discoveries into new products and processes; by preparing a labor force; and by applying University resources to solve economic, environmental, and educational challenges;
- Elevate LSU’s schools, colleges, and academic programs to new and greater levels of national distinction;
- Provide more opportunities to students in financial need by increasing the number and value of need-based scholarships, fellowships, and assistantships.

Student Support
Scholarships and fellowships for students are a priority for the School and for LSU. Funding for graduate students attracts the best scholars from around the nation and the world. Fellowships and scholarships may be funded through an annual gift or through the establishment of an endowment.
Faculty Support
Attracting and retaining faculty members who perform well in teaching, research and academic leadership roles is vital to the School and LSU. Faculty rely heavily upon ready access to technology for their research and teaching, and the School is committed to providing advanced technologies. You can support the faculty through an annual gift or through the establishment of an endowment.
