The Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program evaluation focuses on the effectiveness of TPP programs in Louisiana in its effort to decrease teen pregnancy and other risky behaviors among adolescent girls and boys. The TPP program is a comprehensive initiative that targets adolescent girls and boys between the ages of 8 through 20. One of the primary goals of the program is to help reduce teen pregnancy, multiple births, and other risky behaviors among this population of youth.


In order to examine the effectiveness and specific outcomes of these programs information from the Office of Public Health (OPH) will help to determine if any pregnancies occurred with the female TPP participants and if any male participants fathered any children. This particular component of the evaluation is critical to the evaluation in being able to access the effectiveness of the TPP programming and implementation of the research-based curriculum and other comprehensive initiatives used.
