The LSU School of Social Work/Office of Social Services Research and Development (OSSRD) provides outcome-related evaluations of several Louisiana Department of Social Services (DSS) initiatives funded by the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. The specific programs currently include the Strategies to Empower People (STEP) Program, DSS’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) outreach program, and teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) programs.
