School of Social Work

About Us

TASC is a research-based, early identification, rapid assessment, and intensive intervention truancy reduction program tailored to at-risk children in grades K to 5. The 21 individual state-wide TASC sites are monitored and evaluated by the Office of Social Service Research & Development (OSSRD), the research division of the LSU School of Social Work.  On-going assessment of each TASC is fostered by an extensive database for case management to improve long term outcomes for Louisiana’s public school children.
